Thank you to everyone who had an opportunity to visit with us while we were at the conference, this is always valuable time well spent. Congratulations to Ed Fraire from Gary Schools as the winner of this year’s raffle prize (a 20inch PC Monitor). I know, based on the number of cards in our basket that many were hoping their card was drawn. We were also pleased to be able to contribute and participate in the silent auction resulting in donations for the ICASE Scholarship Fund Raiser.
We were pleased that John Hill was able to address the Executive Board, New Director, and committees on Wednesday, as well as Directors individually throughout the conference, confirming the viability and need for Indiana Districts to resume accessing their Student’s entitled Public Health Benefits (Medicaid). We had the opportunity to speak with many of you and lay to rest the myths vs. facts regarding the questions that have delayed Indiana schools from fully pursuing Medicaid reimbursements for the better part of the past two school years. Our post conference follow-up will be focusing on assisting Districts with accessing the 2008/2009 school year Medicaid funds, being fully prepared for 2009/2010 school year, and beyond. Please do not hesitate to contact us to schedule a time to review your district(s) needs. We will be reviewing many items and setting appointments to get all Indiana School Districts back to full potential reimbursements.
